Beyond the Veil of Madness

Amaya led a fairly typical teenage life as a sophomore in high school, surrounded by the people she loved. She was quite intelligent, committed to her studies, and worked hard to get decent grades. Yet deep down, she lacked the confidence to embrace her true potential, as the constant pressure of being compared to her perfect older brother and the emphasis on her to do better by her parents; was a source of constant pain to her mental health. And the added pressure of rising up to the beauty standards set by society made her more insecure. Her life takes a turn when she develops feelings for the wrong guy at school. Those feelings force her into a life she despises. The very thing she tried to run away from becomes the thing she aspires to be.

Follow along the story as the young girl navigates a new phase of her life and faces the challenges that come with the advent of social media and the judgment that people on it pass around. A story of anxiety, perception, suicidal thoughts, loneliness, and self-acceptance. Amaya is in for a rollercoaster of a ride. Will she be able to grow into a better person?
