A book like this may sound like any other fictional book to be engrossed in on a beautiful day with nobody to disturb you, and it is. However, it addresses one of the biggest talking points today and turns it beautifully into a story. Indeed, it becomes a lesson for all of us, giving a clear picture of what it is to be human, failing at times, standing up, brushing yourself off, and taking the next step. She adds to everyone’s knowledge as they begin to explore this book. The plot is a compilation of many stories that the author stitches lovingly into one. One of the central themes is that of a woman’s path to marrying a gay man; it is indeed a heroine’s journey to finding oneself. Tracey Maree wants to tell her in a heartfelt manner, discuss why straight people can still marry gay people, and vice versa. This life can still exist, and the book will tell how.
The book maintains the sentimental rollercoaster of being dramatic, emotional, and comical at times. What makes Shall We tell The Bride? more approachable is that it makes the reader question the possibilities of going through the same scenario, or they may see it happening amongst their friends – thereby asking, would you tell?
